AAT uses gentle pressure to stimulate points
on the back, which correspond with the major organ systems. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine,
this stimulation relaxes the body and temporarily strengthens each of the major
organ systems. The patient is
simultaneously exposed to very subtle and safe levels of the allergen. The body associates the positive stimulus
with the exposure of the allergen and no longer perceives it as harmful.
The ability to condition physiology with an
external stimulus was first demonstrated by Dr. Ivan Pavlov in 1903. The study showed that the physiology of a dog
could be conditioned or trained by associating food with an external stimulus
in the form of a sound, produced by ringing a bell. After establishing the association, the dog’s
salivary glands would be activated by the stimulus even though no food was
present. A similar dynamic occurs when
associating an allergen with the strengthening of the major organs. The body associates the positive stimulus
with the exposure of an allergen, perceiving it as beneficial instead of a threat. The body alters its perception, correcting
its own erroneous response.
With this therapeutic breakthrough, the AAT
treatment does not rely on the use of medications, herbal remedies or
supplements. The treatment is safe,
painless and available to all ages including infants.
